ü  In 1987, Compass Group was formed in the UK. Compass Group floated on the London Stock Exchange a year later.

ü  In 1998, the Group became a FTSE 100 company.

ü  Compass first entered the Australian market in 1997 through the acquisition of leading catering companies SHRM and Fisher Catering Services.

ü  Then in 1999 Compass acquired P&O’s catering services.
